You Forgot to Mute Your Mic Again, Right?😏 You Might Want To Read This.

Since the ‘School of First Choice and Nation's Pride’ decided to grace us with this virtual learning method, it’s been a never-ending saga of chaos and comedy. From the awkward “Can you hear me now?” moments to your coursemates forgetting their mics are on during lectures. Oh, the drama!😹

Admit it, there’s always something to laugh (or cry) about, right?

This newsletter will highlight some classic mistakes that I’m sure you’ve seen your coursemates, or maybe even yourself, make.

1. Mute Your Microphone

Starting with this, because I'm sure you've heard this countless times taking classes this semester.

It's very important, to mute your microphone when you're not speaking. We don't need to hear your dog barking, or your siblings playing ‘Kese’ on repeat in the background.

The mute button exists for a reason. Use it before we end up knowing way too much about your personal life.🌚

2. Be On Time

Just because it's online doesn’t mean it’s casual. Think about it - if you had a job interview with your dream company, would you show up late? Definitely not, right? So why treat your online classes any differently?

3. Don't Multitask

Hmm…Master of Multitasking. Yes, you! Cooking Noodles, scrolling Tiktok, while attending a lecture on quantum physics. Impressive!

Feeling guilty? I’m guessing you feel a bit guilty. Since you’ve decided to unlock your ‘Flash’ skills, how do you plan on understanding what the lecturer is saying?

4. Be Mindful Of Backgrounds

There would be a point you might have to turn on your camera. You don't want us to be distracted by what's on your background, do you?

Even when you're making use of a virtual background, make sure it’s not distracting. Avoid messy and unprofessional backdrops, your coursemates don't need to know your laundry situation.
