JCIN UNILAG held its 2024 Project Management Training which was organized by the Projects and Programs team in collaboration with the Skills and Development team. The bootcamp lasted for 2 days, and focused on the topics, Mastering Project Management (Essential Foundations and Expert Strategies) and Learning the Ropes (Project Management in Practice). Impactful right?
Woohoo! We held our welcome back to school hangout at the Mad House Gallery, UNILAG. The hangout included both members and non-members in attendance. It was a fun experience and a great way for students to get together, network and have fun, while learning about art. If you weren’t there, this is just to say you missed a whole lotttttt.

Now that you are back to school, here are some study hacks that can help you become a learning machine🎓.
The Feynman Technique: This technique involves explaining a concept in your own words, as if you were teaching it to someone else. This can help you understand the material better.
The Pomodoro Technique: I'd recommend this because it works better for me. The technique involves reading for 25 minutes and then taking a 5-minute break. After four “pomodoros” (or reading sessions), take a longer break. This can help you stay focused and avoid burnout.
The Socratic Method: This technique involves asking yourself questions to stimulate critical thinking. For example, if you're learning about biology, you might ask yourself, “Why is this fact important?” or “How does this relate to other concepts?”
The SQ3R Method: This technique involves:
* S - Survey: Skim the material to get an overview of the topic
* Q - Question: Formulate questions about the material
* R - Read: Read the material carefully
* R - Recite: Recite the main ideas in your own words
* R - Review: Review the material after you've finished reading and studying it
* S - Study: Study the material again at a later time to reinforce your understanding
The Marking Method: This method involves using different colored highlighters to mark different types of information in your notes. For example, yellow could be for key terms, green for definitions, and pink for examples. This helps you quickly find and review important information.
Every student of UNILAG knows this semester is filled with lots of activities and events. I'd advise you to participate in the ones you can, yunno, have fun. But, don't have fun at the expense of your grades.
See you next time on another edition. Muah!
