JCIN UNILAG Week is HERE!!!
Each year, we bring together students, for a series of events dedicated to leadership, impact, and community, and 2025 will be no different. JCIN UNILAG Week, running from June 23rd to June 28th, promises six days of unforgettable experiences.
The week begins with the Publicity Walk on Monday, June 23rd. This is a chance to meet students, create awareness, and share important information about the organization’s vision and the value of mental health. Our members will be out across campus distributing flyers, connecting with students, and sharing information about the week's activities.

On Tuesday, attention shifts to the Mental Health Webinar with the theme “Navigating Adulthood : Building Your Future While Prioritizing Your Mental Health”. The session, held virtually via Google Meet at 6 PM, will feature reputable experts such as Dr. Kareem Abigail Abidemi, a lecturer of Educational Psychology in the Faculty of Education, UNILAG, and Adelore Aisha, a clinical psychologist and assistant psychologist from Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative [MANI]. You will gain insights on balancing ambition with mental well-being - a session that promises to be eye-opening and empowering.

Wednesday will host the Inter-Faculty Debate, at the Faculty of Law by 4pm. The spirited intellectual competition will see faculties go head-to-head discussing the future of learning in the age of Artificial Intelligence. The goal is to encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking while spotlighting important topics in education and innovation.

Thursday, June 26th, will mark the General Assembly and Induction Ceremony, welcoming new members officially into the JCIN UNILAG family. After weeks of preparation and learning, these individuals will be celebrated for their commitment and passion. The event will be held at the Faculty of Sciences, by 5pm.
On Friday, it’s all about health and wellness. At the Blood Drive and Wellness Check-Up Day, students will be able to donate blood and participate in basic health screenings. The event, which will be held at the Access Bank Park by 9am, is aimed at raising awareness for blood donation and encouraging students of the University of Lagos to donate blood, as well as carry out wellness checkups.

Finally, Saturday wraps things up with Sports Day at the University of Lagos Sports Centre by 10am. Members from several student organizations will compete in various sporting activities, celebrating fitness, team spirit, and fun. From track events to friendly relays, this day always brings laughter, bonding, and community energy.

In partnership and collaboration with reputable organizations such as Lagos State Blood Transfusion Services (LSBTS), Rotaract Club of Lagos, Web3UNILAG, Nigerian Red Cross Society, UNILAG, Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI), AIESEC in Lagos, and Pocari Sweat, we will ensure every event delivers value and impact.
