Update from the Local Organization
How did your year begin? well, mine began with a sweet, encouraging mail from my LO president.
1. General Assembly Highlights: We had our first General Assembly on the 3rd of January 2024 on Google Meet. The directors gave insightful reports on projects, activities and of course the new and the members were encouraged to tell someone about JCIN UNILAG.
2. Membership Drive: In the quest of JCIN UNILAG interesting recruitment process, we had our interviews for new members on the 20th of January. Enthusiastic individuals got interviewed, each hopeful to join this esteemed community.
The interview process was a blend of nerves and anticipation as candidates shared their passions and aspirations with their recruitment manager. With each conversation, the room was filled with energy and possibility, showcasing the diverse talents and perspectives of those vying for membership. Successful candidates got indicted , marking the beginning of their beautiful journey with the organization.
3. ACOPS Training: The president , Vice president and general secretary attended the ACOPS training held from January 12th to 14th. It was an invaluable experience for local organization Presidents, directors, and members in leadership roles. This event also enriched the experience and fostered collaboration among Southwest region leaders.
4. General Assembly and induction of new members :
We had our last general assembly for the month on the 31st. It was graced by a lot of prominent guests and people from other local organizations . New members were inducted and birthdays were celebrated .It was a thrilling occasion filled with the promise of new connections, shared experiences, and unforgettable memories in the making.

In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but it's possible to find joy amidst chaos. By focusing on small pleasures and gratitude, seeing challenges as opportunities for growth, and practicing self-care and mindfulness, we can maintain resilience and purpose.
